His lasers are hard to dodge and deal more damage than his projectiles. They can deal a lot of damage to both the player and the mech should the player choose to use it. Avoid his projectiles by sidestepping or shooting them down.During the first phase of the battle, when the player is tasked to destroy the source of Ugh-Zan's regeneration, they should plant all 9 C-4 explosives and then detonate them all at once to make the process easier. They are more numerous and smaller than the red ones, but like them they can also be shot down. These projectiles also deal a fair amount of damage, but they can be destroyed mid-air.ĭuring the fight with Ugh-Zan, he will become aggressive towards the player and begin firing red projectiles at them as soon as the player begins destroying his metal rods.Īfter his metal rods have been destroyed, Ugh-Zan will take the metal plating off his face and begin firing homing blue projectiles from his mouth. ![]() His secondary attack consists of conjuring several red homing projectiles from his arms, which will begin tracking the player until they hit them. He can shoot two laser beams from his eyes that can deal a lot of damage and are hard to avoid. He also has the ability to regenerate after losing a substantial amount of his health. ![]() Like other members of the Ugh-Zan dynasty, Ugh-Zan VI is extremely powerful and highly resistant to conventional weapons. Within a matter of seconds, the Grail causes his head to explode, killing him. The Grail begins reacting within his body and his eyes start glowing due to the power of the Grail overwhelming him. Hellfire flies just close enough for Sam to throw the Grail into Ugh-Zan's mouth. She lands her helicopter next to him and he hitches a ride. Thinking of a plan, Sam grabs the Grail and requests support from Hellfire. Kiesel warns Sam that if he does not act quickly enough, Ugh-Zan will recover and begin attacking again. Ugh-Zan VI's head is blown off by the powers of the Grail. With Ugh-Zan now unable to regenerate, Sam finishes him off with either the mech Hellfire supplied him with or his own weapons (the choice is completely up the player's decisions in the end) and is able to temporarily stun him. Thanks to the efforts of Hellfire, who sends him a parachute and grappling hook, he uses these tools to attach himself to the rods on Ugh-Zan's body and destroy them with C-4 charges. To make him vulnerable, Sam must destroy all nine rods. SERIOUS SAM 3 UGH ZAN FREESam, now free from Brand's grasp and having regained consciousness, is contacted by professor Gottlieb Kiesel, who tells him that Ugh-Zan is using the metal rods on his body to recharge his vital energy. Unfortunately for Brand, Ugh-Zan shows no interest in gifts or the like, and flicks him off with his finger. Brand attempts to negiogate with the creature and hope that the two can forge an alliance. Ugh-Zan VI is summoned through the massive portal in Tunguksa by former Earth Defense Force General Brand (now transformed into a large humanoid monster due to having used the Holy Grail on himself) and presents Ugh-Zan with two gifts the Holy Grail and Sam. These rods serve as electrical conductors that attract lightining strikes, which in turn are used to heal Ugh-Zan.īrand summons Ugh-Zan to present him with the Holy Grail and Sam as a gift to Mental. He is covered in metal plating and nine conductive metal rods have been placed on several regions of his body, such as his arms, legs, back and head. In appearance, he is a massive humanoid creature standing approximately 475 meters tall. In actuality, he does exist, and is perhaps the largest version of the Ugh-Zan giants known to date. An informant working with the French Resistance suggested the existence of an enormous humanoid, possibly related to General Ugh-Zan IV (presumed to be killed in the Battle of Alpha Centauri) and Ugh-Zan V (obliterated in Oslo, Norway), but details were scarce and General Brand suggested the information might be faulty. Ugh-Zan VI, also known by his titles the Gargantuan Guardian, Warlock of the Portal, and Tah-Um’s Foot (the latter losing something of its originally quite threatening tone in translation) was until very recently known from second-hand accounts. ![]()
